Without an account, your Application ID is the only way back.

DS-160 Save and retrieve

You do not have to finish the DS-160 in one sitting. CEAC lets you save the form and continue later, but only with the details you noted when you started.

Note these at the start

The Application ID shown on the first page, beginning with AA
The security question you chose and your exact answer
The location you selected, for example Ankara or Istanbul

Saving your progress

Use the Save button on each page. CEAC ends the session after about 20 minutes without activity and unsaved answers are lost. You can also save the form as a file on your computer and upload it again later to continue.

Returning to the form

Open CEAC and choose to retrieve an application
Enter the Application ID
Enter the first five letters of your surname and your year of birth
Answer your security question

The 30-day limit

An unsubmitted form that you do not open for 30 days is deleted. If that happens, or if you lost the Application ID, start a new DS-160. After submitting, save the confirmation page as a PDF at once.
