Tourist andbusiness visa

The B1/B2 visa covers short trips: a holiday, a family visit, treatment, a meeting or a trade fair.

This is the visa most travellers from Türkiye need. B1 covers business visits such as meetings, conferences and negotiating contracts. B2 covers tourism, visiting friends and family and medical treatment. Both are usually issued together as one B1/B2 visa.

TL amounts are approximate, converted at the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) US dollar selling rate of 03.11.2026: 1 US$ = 50.00 TL. The official visa fee is paid in TL at the US consular exchange rate on the day of payment, so the amount you pay may differ.

From Türkiye, step by step

  1. Complete the DS-160

    The online form on the official CEAC website, answered accurately and consistently.

  2. Pay the fee

    Through the official payment channel for Türkiye.

  3. Book the interview

    At the US Embassy in Ankara or the Consulate General in Istanbul, or ask for an interview waiver if you qualify.

  4. Attend the interview

    Bring your passport, the confirmation page and your supporting papers.

  5. Receive your passport

    If the visa is approved, your passport is returned with the visa inside.
