Paid appointment pilot expands to selected posts

Eligible B-visa applicants at participating posts may pay an additional USD 750 for an interview within ten business days, subject to availability. The usual application process and MRV fee still apply.
The August update lists Canada, Bogotá, Guatemala City, San José and Tegucigalpa alongside Mexico. It does not list Ankara or Istanbul. The pilot is scheduled through 31 December 2026.
An earlier interview does not guarantee visa issuance or faster adjudication. Verify the current participating locations and your eligibility through official channels before making travel or payment plans.
